I received an email from Holland America today about a special sale with reduced deposits:
Today, January 17, 2024, pay just $1 deposit per person on select cruises! (For guests 1 and 2 in a cabin).
Normally, to hold a cruise, you must pay a few hundred dollars per stateroom.
I looked on Holland America’s site to see which cruises are subject to this $1 deposit sale, and there are a lot that qualify! 286 cruises qualify, to be exact, on sailings departing through April 2024.

Note that these reduced deposits don’t reduce the total amount of money you owe. They just reduce the amount of money you must put down to reserve a cabin on a cruise now. Most final payments are due 75-120 days prior to the cruise.
I have personally never cruised on Holland America. But, I’ve heard great things about it. Leana’s family recently sailed through the Panama Canal on Holland America, and they had a great time!
